Info on leisure activities in the area
The nearby Rosliston Forestry Centre is a great facility with miles of well made footpaths for exercise, a fishing lake and a large play area for children. There is also a cafe. There are regular events held to interest all ages. www.roslistonforestrycentre.co.uk A parking charge applies.

There are a number of well kept public parks in Swadlincote within easy reach by car or bike.
The National Memorial Arboretum near Alrewas is only a few miles away. There is a small parking charge. Cafe facilities are on site. www.thenma.org.uk
Just over the County border in Staffordshire are The Washlands by the River Trent in Burton which have long been a popular attraction for walks and recreation. It is crossed by a unique wrought iron bridge opened in 1889 and viaduct about 1/2 a mile long and can be crossed on foot or by cycle from Swan Park in Stapenhill to Burton. There are also several well defined and popular paths over the washlands area great for blowing away the “cobwebs”
Nearby pubs can be found in Stapenhill, Staffs and in our local Derbyshire villages we have The Swan at Walton which has a large, popular restaurant, the Bull in Rosliston which also serves meals, The Bubble in Coton and the Black Horse, also in Coton-in-the-Elms. Further afield in Lullington is the 16th century Colvile Arms with an extensive garden area.
The Cathedral City of Lichfield is just 20 minutes or so away by car
